On July 28, 2015, the Board of Aldermen passed an ordinance approving an agreement between the City of Crestwood and Houseal Lavigne Associates (HLA) for Planning Services to assist in the preparation of the City’s first Comprehensive Plan. Over an 18 month period, HLA and the City Planner held several community meetings to gather input and garner community feedback. On March 1, 2017, the Planning, Zoning, and Architectural Review Commission adopted the Comprehensive Plan for the City of Crestwood by and through Resolution 17-01.
Existing Conditions Within the City of Crestwood
During the comprehensive planning process, Houseal Lavigne completed a document known as an Existing Conditions Report (ECR) (PDF) in April of 2016. This document outlines the community as it exists today (2016 to 2017) and provided a foundation for the Comprehensive Plan. Residents and members of the business community attended outreach workshops to discuss key issues and opportunities within Crestwood. Public engagement was a central element of the Existing Conditions Report and directly guided planning recommendations and strategies in the Comprehensive Plan.
