Christmas in Crestwood is Not Cancelled
This is your jollification notification.
CRESTWOOD, MO — Each year since its founding, Christmas in Crestwood volunteers strive to provide opportunities for children, families, and adults to join the fun and enjoy the community while discovering Crestwood businesses and all that Crestwood has to offer. From chances to see Crestwood’s favorite Santa to a car parade to unique holiday decorations, fun contests, and fireworks, there is something for all ages to enjoy.
With Covid-19 uncertainties in mind and a new word in their vocabulary: Jollification, Christmas in Crestwood volunteers (known as Jollification Specialists) are working harder than Santa’s elves to provide a safe and lively celebration for the 2020 holiday season featuring prize contests, uninterrupted holiday music, and a special day to welcome Santa to Crestwood!
The contests will begin on November 12th, in honor of Crestwood’s birthday. Details and entry forms are available at www.ChristmasInCrestwood.org. Printed entry forms are also available at Crestwood’s Whitecliff Community Center (9245 Whitecliff Park Lane) and Crestwood City Hall (1 Detjen Drive).
Contests and events are supported by donations from over 80 generous Crestwood businesses and organizations. A sponsoring business list is available at www.ChristmasInCrestwood.org.
For kindergarten through 12th grade students in Crestwood and Lindbergh schools there is a Student Essay Contest. Participants are required to write a one-page essay about “My Favorite Holiday Tradition/Experience.” Prizes for three age categories have been donated by the following Crestwood businesses: Crestwood Bowl, Victory Raceway, Applebee’s, Culver’s, and Imo’s!
For a fun time with friends and family, check out the Where’s Santa? Photographic Scavenger Hunt. Discover Crestwood, get creative, and possibly win one of the great prize packages valued at over $2,000!

From December 1st through 31st, one of the nine online stations on the website will be dedicated to holiday music — 24 hours a day, commercial-free, with limited repeats. Songs on the playlist are requested by Crestwood businesses, civic leaders, and church leaders.
On Saturday, December 5th, Santa is coming to Crestwood!
Without an indoor event this year, outdoor events have been enhanced. Beginning around 3:30 pm, The Classic Santa Car Parade will include a myriad of decked out jeeps and cars. With assistance from Crestwood Fire and Police departments, Santa will bring smiles and cheer as he is escorted through Crestwood. The route map is available at www.christmasincrestwood.org/December5th.html.
After the parade, head over to St. Raymond-St. Elizabeth Church (1420 Sappington Road) for the opportunity to exchange five (or more) nonperishable food items for one children’s goody bag. (Family’s with multiple children, bring 5 items per child.)The Goody Bag Food Drive allows for continued support of local food pantries while providing children with the traditional goody bag of Crestwood fun! 200 Goody Bags will be exchanged on a first-come basis beginning at 6:00 pm. Food items will be donated to the First Baptist Church of Crestwood Food Pantry and St. Raymond-St. Elizabeth Church Food Pantry.
The evening will be topped off with a spectacular Fireworks Display sponsored by Streib Company at 6:30 pm, launched from the St. Raymond-St. Elizabeth Church ball field.
