On June 23, 2020, the Crestwood Board of Aldermen approved Resolution 20-03 to apply for a grant-in-aid to fund a landscape planner for a community plan of native plantings and natural area planning.
On August 4, 2020, the City solicited planners for requests for proposals for the Landscape Planner for a Community Plan of Native Plantings and Natural Area Planning in City of Crestwood Parks and other native landscaping planning services on an as needed basis. Four proposals were received September 3, 2020 and DTLS Landscape Architecture was selected as the most responsive proposal.
DTLS was included in the application for a planning grant with the Municipal Park Grant Commission of St. Louis County that was approved September 14, 2020. The Municipal Park Grant Commission will only pay eighty percent of the planning expenses up to $6,400.00. The scope of the work will be limited to $8,000.00, with Crestwood’s cost being $1,600.00.
DTLS conducted a shareholder survey to gather information for native plantings and natural area planning for Ferndale, Rayburn, Sanders, and Spellman parks. DTLS made a presentation to a joint meeting of the Park Board and Beautification Committee on June 8, 2021 to present their findings and receive comments.
